Topshop - the jewel of the highstreet

If your looking for a great way of updating your look without having to splash out on a whole new wardrobe, then get yourself down to Topshop (or at least online), these necklaces are fantastic for adding some drama to your outfit no matter how plain it is.

I adore the gorgeous flower one, perfect for spring outfits!

London Fashion Week - Issa

My favourite show at LFW was the Issa AW09, full of extremely feminine and classy dresses with vibrant colour mixes, these are the kind of clothes that will make you feel like a real woman, sexy and glamorous, i look at these dresses and it makes me want to paint my lips and fingernails pillar box red like a forties starlet.

And the red platforms are gorgeous

These are my favourites from the collection, but i really wish that i could own the lot!!

I know that it's a little premature, but i can't wait to see the SS10 collection.

Handbags with a difference...

Well, its been a busy few days for me with London Fashion Week, but rather frustratingly, my camera couldn't get any decent shots of the shows that i attended, and even more frustrating is the fact that i can't find any online either, so it's a little pointless giving my reviews without any photo's for you to see, but whilst walking around the LFW exhibition, i came across a stand that was showcasing Rocio bags, and i was stunned by just how beautiful and unusual these bags were, believe me these photo's don't do them enough justice. the unusual thing about them is that they are all handmade from sustainable acacia wood, they aren't cheap but are pure luxury, and definite collectors piece's.
The ladybird bag is £225 and this gorgeous brown 'Collette' bag is £450 (ouch).

New York Fashion Week - Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacob's is one of my favourite designers, but i seriously think that he was high when he created his AW09 collection, full of completely mental shades and shapes it was like a acid trip back to the 80's, a couple of the pieces were abosolutely hideous, but what's the bets that slightly softer versions will hit the highstreet and like it or not most of us will fall victim to it, hey, if it worked in the 80's it could work again?! Although i'm kind of hoping not!!

Victoria Beckham AW09 collection

Victoria Beckham showed her 23 piece AW09 collection in New York yesterday and this, her second collection wasn't entirely based on her own style as her first collection seemed to be, some of the the jackets featured in the collection were surprisingly 'un-Victoria' but she did stick to her trademark Marc Jacob style tailored dresses but this time with added peplum waists for an up to date twist. Some of the dresses were floor length slinky numbers, a couple of them were very Mortisha Adams, but super classy.

This embellished gold shift dress was my favourite, perfect for the xmas party season.

Quick report - NY Fashion Week BCBG Max Azria

BCBG Max Azria's AW09 collection had a very futuristic feel with lots of metallic's, silvers and gold's with all model's wearing Metallic bronze, gold or silver tights, so it looks as though tights will get even more interesting next season girls!

Fabrics were mainly jersey with silks and satin which were also featured heavily in Rachel Roy's AW09 collection, as well as mushroom and cream tones that were also a main tone of Rachel's collection, so it looks as though one of this season's colour trends will be continuing into next winter.

Dresses were soft and loose with lots of draping.

I recently came across an article about celeb shoe addicts on which was an interesting read but pretty sickening to see just how many shoes they own (only because i'm jealous), Celine Dion apparently owns 2 to 3 thousand pairs!!!

Take a look at Mariah Carey's massive shoe closet here, isn't this just every girls dream?!

Trend Focus - Block Colours

Block colours and acid brights are another huge trend for SS09 and the more that the colours clash the better, with a majority of styles mixing fuchsia pink and bright orange together, like this top here from ASOS, which is similar to the one seen on Leighton Meester here.

Hot item - Sass & Bide PVC leggings

The rocker/biker look is a big trend right now and will continue to be for SS09, but i'm not talking 80's rocker mullets here or Harley's and studs (although studs are hot right now too), this trend is to be teamed with sophisticated tailoring and killer heels, for a less threatening look.

Wear with an oversized crisp white shirt with a waist cinching belt or an oversized jumper like Ashley Olsen seen here.

These Sass & Bide 'black rats PVC leggings' £130 are spot on and available from
