Pick of the Topshop sale

Well ladies if you are a regular Topshop shopper, then you'll know that your not really going to get the cheapest of bargains in the Topshop sale, but they are good discounts none the less, this cute 'Sequin Flirt dress' is now £30 reduced from £65, and these fab 100% leather leggings are now £90 reduced from £150.

Now you could just go for the 'leather look' leggings for a fraction of the price but these are really hot girls, and are bound to be more flattering as they'll be a bit thicker than the cheaper imitation ones, plus they are very similar to the ones that Cheryl Cole wears in the 'Fight for this Love' video and who wouldn't like the oportunity to look like Cheryl for the night?!

These goregous cutwork shoes look just like a pair of Prada's that i used to have (sold them on ebay which i now regret), except these are just £23... Unbelievable!! they also come in black.

And these gold sequined shoes are adorable, they remind me of dorothy's shoes in the my fav film, The Wizard of Oz, although at £100 they are not exactly cheap.

Cheap but Chic gift idea

Fairytales and Hidden Notes is a cute little online boutique selling super cute and unique items of jewellery which are all handmade. And to top it off, everything is really reasonably priced (nothing over £20). The pieces remind me very much of the Disney Couture stuff that's so hot right now, but are less than half the price!

These are three of my favourites, this fairytale ring is so sweet but also on trend as it's a great statement piece. The Birdcage necklace and Swallow bracelet are also both adorable!

Would make great xmas pressies!

Sneak peak at New Look's SS10 collection

I went along to my favourite of all the press day's last week, the New Look one, where i previewed the SS10 collection and i was quite surprised to find that there's still a lot of sequins and embellishment going on for their summer collection, and i'm not talking just a touch of sparkle, i mean full on bling, the kind of sparkle that is usually only reserved for Christmas. And it just follows on from this seasons luxe embellishment trend.

There was also lots of lace and featured quite heavily along the collection, from tops, coats and bags. and one of the prominant colour's was a gorgeous peachy pink shade, which can also be found quite a lot in store at the moment, so if you buy now, it's sure to see you through summers trends too.

I was also really impressed with their SS10 underwear collection, it is gloriously pretty and feminine with a touch of vintage glamour.

Cool t-shirt's at ASOS

I know that it's not really t-shirt wearing weather girls, but these tee's are so cool, i think we could all suffer a bit of a chill to wear them. This very 80's inspired pout t-shirt is a great trend focused update for your wardrobe and is only £20, it can also be worn off the shoulder. This purrrfect cat tee is so cute and only £16, i reckon that this would make a great (and cheap) Christmas pressie for your mate. The cheeky handprint tee is not quite so cheap at £42 but is sure to get you noticed. and iu love this very chic white cat tee although it is the most expensive of the bunch at £60. But just think girls, buy any of these now and they'll last you through summer too.

Girly and Glitzy party dresses at Topshop

Topshop have some lovely party dresses at the moment that are really girly and glitzy which is fairly unsual for Topshop as they tend to be more funky and trend setting then very feminine and glam.

I just adore this lace lovely prom style dress (£45) which is in this seasons shape - the one shoulder style. and this peachy beige embellished strapless dress (65) is a great investment buy, as this will see you all through the summer too. i went to the New Look summer preview yesterday and there were lots of tops and dresses just like this, in the same shade and with lots of embellishment, so it can be your Christmas party dress as well as your summer dress girls!

The latest collection of Disney Couture Jewellery is so gorgeous, it takes me right back to my childhood in a magical mystery land of fairies and all things pretty and nice....ahhhhh!

These are just a few of the the latest items, but there are loads more at ASOS, these items would make a fab gift for your best mate or sister for xmas.

Lindsay Lohan is clearly a fan, seen here wearing her 'Fairest of them all' necklace (£21.75) and is just one of many celeb fans!

Hot off the press...Hire a real Celeb dress for just £40 at Topshop!

Oh yes ladies, i've been dying to tell you about this, but had to hold off until today.....

Exclusive to the Oxford Circus flagship store, Topshop is offering the once in a lifetime chance for customers to take a walk through the wardrobes of its fabulous circle of fashion friends. With one-off pieces donated by the crème of the fashion and celebrity world, customers will have the chance to hire their dream designer dress for December’s forthcoming Christmas parties.
You will be able to browse the selection of garments and try things on for size between 26th November and 6th December, before the hire period which runs 7th – 23rd December. Dresses will be available to hire for one day, and following the dress hire period there will be the opportunity to enter a silent bid and be the life-long owner of your desired dress when they are auctioned. Dress hire costs just £40.

Most importantly, all of the hire fee and proceeds from the auction will go to Topshop’s chosen charities Age Concern and Help the Aged.
Celebrites that have kindly donated to the project include Kate Moss, who donated a beautiful beaded Lanvin party dress, and Freida Pinto, who gave a pale yellow Burberry Prorsum dress. Scarlett Johansson’s Nanette Lepore animal print minidress will be available for hire, alongside a full length floral gown by Dolce & Gabbana from Peaches Geldof and a midnight blue evening dress by Australian designer Jayson Brundson from Dita Von Teese. Customers will also have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to wear one of Nicola Roberts of Girls Aloud’s bespoke stage costumes from the band’s recent tour.

Not only will the dresses be the main talking point of the evening, you will not risk running into anyone in the same inimitable piece.

Sophie Dahl comments: “I am thrilled to support Help the Aged and Age Concern through Topshop's Christmas ‘Dress Me Up’ initiative. What a good cause to put a lovely frock on for. The dress I donated is one I love, a proper party dress that deserves an outing."

Peaches Geldof is also thrilled to be able to support the campaign: “This dress was a gift from my good friends Dolce & Gabbana. It was beautifully made and means a lot to me. I wore it in Cannes and had lots of fun; I hope the next person who hires it does too. I think dress hire for charity is a great idea and Age Concern and Help The Aged are worthwhile causes. I am glad to be able to give something back to the third generation.”
Emma Cook, designer, comments: “Having worked with Topshop for so long, we didn’t think twice about donating our dress. It’s such a great cause, especially at this time of year. The combination of being able to help support Age Concern & Help The Aged and the chance for someone to wear our dress that wouldn't ordinarily be able to afford to, is such a fantastic concept.”

The dress left was donated by Oliva Palermo and the funky leopard print one was donated by Scarlett Johansson.

Perfect party dresses from Miss Selfridge!

Ahh... good old Miss Selfridge, i remember the day that i bought my first real party dress, i was 16 and it was from Miss Selfridge on Oxford Street, i had my mum with me for guidance, and i bought an absolutely gorgeous LBD with spaghetti straps and ruffles at bust, it was so perfect and totally timeless, and i was utterly devastated the day that it happened to get mixed up amongst the other laundry and got shrunk in the wash, so much so that it would have been adequate for a 10 year old girl. i still pine for my beloved Miss Selfridge dress, but stepping back into the present, they have, as usual got a great selection of party dresses this season.

Here are my two favourites of the moment, this very fairy like dress with a touch of 80's reminds me of something that Carrie Bradshaw would wear and is real girly little number, and this sequined dress, is an of the moment trend focused piece, and is even more fabulous in the flesh (or should that be cloth) as i was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the Arcadia Press preview back in August.

Trend focus - Velvet

Yes ladies, Velvet is well and truely back on the fashion radar, who'd have thought it!

And it was only recently that my good friend Michelle was in fits of laughter as she recalled, the little purple velvet dress that i used to wear out clubbing back in 1995! If only i had of held on to it!

So anyway girl, velvet is back and the velvet body con dress is key this season, just take a look at these dresses...

This black Velvet LBD is £25 from ASOS and this 'look at me' red number is also £25 from http://www.boohoo.com/ and is a great colour for the festive season!

Plus it's a fabric that's going to kind of keep you warm girls, but just make sure that you wear your body shaping tights or knickers under these figure hugging babies, girls!

Preview - Kate Moss Christmas collection for Topshop

I am truly impressed with Kate's Christmas collection for Topshop, it features fabulously feminine and glamorous pieces, most with an oriental design influence. i love the 'geisha rose print blouse' pictured above and this gorgeously glitzy, sequined maxi dress and at £180 it's one of the more expensive items in the collection, but just think of how wonderful you'll look in it, plus you can still wear it year after year as it's a totally timeless piece!

Wear your heart on your shoulder!

Apologies for adding a little doom and gloom to your day ladies, but if any of you watched the awful BBC documentary on 'Bulgaria's abandoned children' by Kate Blewett that was first shown back in 2007 then you will have surely felt as saddened as i did watching those awful images of the extremely neglected children, i felt compelled to help by donating what i could to the charity http://www.tbact.org/ which has done wonders since 2007 in helping these children, but now there's an even better way that you can help, by purchasing this gorgeous Tabitha bag from http://www.helpinghandbags.co.uk/, set up by Melora Johnson after reading a report in Grazia (Bulgaria's forgotten children), she says that she was so distressed at the images that she saw, that she had to help, so she came up with the idea of designing a bag along with her friend Emma Ganderton, head of accessories design at Jigsaw.

The bag costs £150, but 100% of proceeds go to the Baba programme run by TBACT, you can find out more about the programme on the helping handbags website.

The Tabitha bag comes in Caramel brown, rich aubergine and metallic silver.

Pretty in pink

Well, it's coming up to that time of year ladies, yes party season..whoo hoo!! and i say it's a good idea to start thinking about your party outfits now because in a month or so you'll have to start forking out for Christmas presents and nights out and if you get paid monthly then it's only 2 more paydays before Christmas! but don't panic girls, start your outfit shopping now and you'll be feeling all smug come December when you have all your party looks and cash to spare.

And best of all, this gorgeous very on trend Jewell embellished mini dress in one of this season's go to colours Fuchsia, is only £24.99 at http://www.ginonv.com/ and if your not brave enough to wear a dress this short then wear with leggings underneath.

Celeb style steal (ish) - Cheryl Cole's Military Jacket

I've tried in vain to find a cheaper lookalike of the Balmain jacket worn by Cheryl Cole in her new video, but this was the closest i came ladies, this black tassle Military jacket is £55 from good old Dorothy Perkins, and it's fab, but if only it was red!

But this is a great on trend item to have in your wardrobe this season girls, looks great with dark skinny jeans.
