Sale pick of the week!

These Fendi sandals are now only £175 in the Browns sale, reduced from £350, and i want them bad!!

They have a real 70's vibe about them, which will be hot for SS09.

Just think they will take you all through spring and summer ladies, and as bizarre as it may sound, you really have to start planning your summer wardrobe now girls, because before you know it, it will be April/May and starting to get warm and if you buy a little each month, then by the time the summer arrives you'll have a good base wardrobe.

http://www.brownsfashion.com/

Highstreet find of the month!

I just love this brown mock croc bag from New Look.

It's only £30 but looks far more expensive, it's large enough to store all of your bits and bobs (and if your anything like me, there will be lots), and the best thing is that it has 2 side popper pockets, which is something that i always look for in a bag as it's great for storing your iPod, train ticket and phone for easy access on the go!

A shoe umbrella!!

This is a very clever idea, just not sure if it will actually catch on?

These odd looking boots named 'Shuella' are basically an umbrella for your shoes, so you just slip them on over your shoes to keep your feet nice and dry in the case of a serious downpour.

Available from http://www.kurtgeiger.com/ £30

Also available in other colours.
What do you think girls, a hit or miss?

Forward thinking...

You may be a little sick of Tartan at the moment, but i'm afraid it's a trend that's not going to end anytime soon, so get used to it. Tartan will still be a big hit for SS09 ladies so this cute little dress will take you into the summer and all the way up until next autumn, now that's what i call a clever purchase!

Wear now with a long sleeved top underneath, and leggings and just as it is in the summer.

£45 http://www.topshop.com/

Huge savings at La Senza!

There are plenty of bargains to be had at La Senza online at the moment girls, with a Glamour promotion of 40% off selected ranges, i have just bought loads of new bra and knicker sets, and after the 40% off some of the bra's were only £10, what a bargain!! and these are not just basic looking bra's, they are really glam and sexy.

They have also this week launched their Men’s Guide on the website which includes an interactive lingerie selector and buying tips to help men buy lingerie for their partners over the Christmas period. The guide features four different models each with their own different personalities: girly, glamorous, stylish and elegant. The idea is men choose the model that is most similar (in both looks and personality) to their partner and then they can choose from a range of lingerie and nightwear that go with that personality. The chosen girl will then model the product so the viewer can see how the garment looks on person and then click through direct to purchase. There are also buying tips in the section to help men find out the bra size of their partner plus suggestions for stocking fillers. You can see the guide here: http://www.lasenza.co.uk/MensGuide/MensGuide_BuyingGuide.aspx?d=mensguide&c=bg.

So if you want some lovely new undies for Christmas then, point him in the direction of the La Senza Website - http://www.lasenza.co.uk/

A dress for all seasons!

I love this dress, it's so feminine and will be great at hiding all those over indulgences that you've been having over the coming few weeks.

The ruffling down the front also makes it very on trend and the scooped neckline lets you show off that cleavage!

I think this is the perfect little party dress not just for the festive season, but for all seasons, and it's only £37.20 from http://www.asos.com

New look SS09 preview

I went along to the New Look press day on Tues to preview their spring/summer range and i wasn't disappointed, although it does seem like it's just a repeat of this summer's trends particularly with the Nautical theme, as there will be lots of nautical colours, and patterns in the form of bags, shoes and clothes which were a little, cruise ship meets brighton beach.

And it seems that wedge's will still be going strong too as well as the platform shoe as pretty much the whole shoe collection was one or the other.

The other key theme amongst the bags and shoes was fringed suede, think american indian, and lots of the bags had a real ethnic kind of tribal theme which was actually really pretty.
There were also lots of gorgeous 60's shift dresses and wonderful bright 60's inspired colours.

Pretty Polly 'Secret Slimmer' tights!

Well ladies, Christmas is the time of year that we really want to look our best with all the parties coming up, so over the next few weeks, i will be seeking out the best slimming, controlling and shape wear on the market.....

Step up contestant number one, Pretty Polly's 'Secret Slimmer' tights. Pretty Polly were kind enough to send me a lovely goody bag full of Pretty Polly products which also contained a pair of the tights and having tried them out, i have to say that i was honestly impressed, they really tightened my upper thighs, bum and stomach... what more could you want? and the best thing is that they are tights rather than control pants so you won't have that awful Bridget Jones moment if you do happen to pull the office hunk at the office party!

Pretty Polly recently carried out a rather brave stunt,
The campaign saw the winner of reality show Colleens Real Women, Sasha Parker, and her team of placard holders march down Harley Street making the point that you don’t need to pay £10k for surgery when you just need a pair of £6 Pretty Polly Secret Slimmer tights! I’m sure you’ll agree that far too many women are opting to go under the knife when they don’t actually need to and the crux of the campaign was to get this point firmly across with the assistance of Sasha who is of course ‘all woman’!

Ankle ties!

Ankle boots are really big this season, and i think that these brown lace front boots £75 from http://www.asos.com are wonderful.

You may have also noticed that boots have moved on from the pointed toe styles of yester year and are now have a more flattering rounded toe, this is especially good if you have large feet as it will make them appear smaller.

Wear these with skinny jeans or with a short skirt and tights for a really up to the minute look.

Party tier

Ok ladies, here's another one for the party dress list.

£60 from Lipsy, it's super sexy with an open back and super on trend as ruffles and tiers were heavily featured in most of the SS09 shows. so you could also carry this dress into the suumer and still be really on trend even though the dress will be 6 months old.

Kate Moss - Topshop 8th collection

Kate Moss launched her 8th topshop collection today. featuring some really gorgeous little dresses although i do think that you'd need to have legs like Kate to actually wear them, as they are super, super short. This gorgeously sexy tiger dress being one of them, it's absolutely stunning (and already sold out online) but unfortunately i think most of us would have to wear it as a top rather than a dress. The tiger print is actually made of see through mesh.

Hopefully they will have some left in some of the stores, if not you could always try eBay if you are really desperate to get your hands on it, although you'll be paying a mark up price for it, but with something so gorgeous i reckon it will be worth it, plus it will still look great in years to come.

£100 http://www.topshop.com

Gorgeous shoes...

I adore Topshop's footwear range, so it's no surprise to me to have just found these two lovelies. i'm still wiping the drool from my keyboard!

the beige one's are £85 and are super stylish and elegant, the kind of shoe's that will still look great in years to come, and because they're beige, you can wear them with practically anything and the style of them will really sexify your ankles.

The black one's are also £85, and are this season's must have platform style. these little beauties could be worn to work (only if your used to walking in super high heels) and will also make the perfect party shoes. Don't forget ladies the party season start's in 5 weeks, so start buying your party wardrobe now!

Is Burberry chic again?

The chav's of britain ruined the good old burberry name and for a while nobody wanted to be associated with it, but i think it's slowly starting to regain it's prestige again, i have just come across this large weekend bag £850 on http://www.net-a-poter.com and think it's pretty stylish, not your your usual burberry check but a more subtle check and colour, i love the dark brown leather which i think makes it look expensive and takes way any chavness!

It'll give you an excuse to book a lovely weekend away somewhere with your mates, or a dirty one with your partner!! he, he!

Go on treat yourself ladies, or put it on your Christmas list and let someone else!

Satin Chic!

Asos is having a half price sale ladies.... Horray!!!

And this black satin shirt dress is only £14.

It would look great with some colourful tights or leggings and would be great for work teamed with some statement jewellery, or dressed down for day wear, either it's super classy.

PS - Apologies for the lack of post recently, i have just started writing for another fashion blog named Fashion Fix for Twolia so have been a little busy, but i promise i won't neglect fashionfinds! check it out at http://twoliablog.com

Look of the week!

I'm not usually a huge fan of Next and have never really understood the huge mayhem that their sales seem to cause, but i have to say that i'm absolutely loving their new AW08 range.

This outfit is gorgeous, this may have something to do with the rather gorgeous model wearing it, but lets just be optimistic and hope that it will look just as good on the rest of us ladies!

The tunic dress is £40, black gillet £50, suede platforms £35, bag £35, bangle £6 and ring £3.50.

Available in stores nationwide and online at http://www.next.co.uk

Custom made boots!!

I find it so frustrating that highstreet stores do not cater for us ladies with very small (OK, chicken leg skinny) calf's when it comes to boots, i have seen so many gorgeous boots recently but they just look like wellies on me. If you have bigger calf's, you can pretty much find lots of places that do wider calf fitting boots, but only a few for slim calf's such as http://www.hennyjames.co.uk/, http://www.duoboots.com/ and http://www.fittedboots.com/ which doesn't really leave you with a lot of choice but hey at least there are some places out there that will cater for the slim leg!

At fittedboots.com they can actually custom make your boots to fit just right for you!

London Fashion Week - Jonh Rocha show

Well i went to see the John Rocha show yesterday, unfortunately it was the only one i was able to attend as i'm off on my hols, but it was an interesting show. First to come out, rather strangely were chunky short sleeved snowy knits (a bit odd for a summer collection, but hey you know what our summers can be like) then came lots of sheer dresses in sheer, almost skin tone shades as well as quite a few shift dress with a slightly different take, including one with a longer and slightly a line hem. There were also some gorgeous coral and aqua coloured sheer sarong style dresses, but most of the collection featured lots of ruffles and heavily featured were large bejewelled bibs.

My favourite piece was this sleeveless cobolt blue ruffled dress, the photo really doesn't do it any justice at all.

I promise that next season i will got to lots more shows and report on them all for you.

Anyone for a cocktail?

I have loved rings since i was a child, and still cherish my first ever ring, a little gold bow ring, and as i have gotten older my love affair with rings has grown and grown and the bigger the ring the better which is why i'm thrilled with the cocktail ring trend that's been around for a while now.
These two rings are guaranteed to make you feel ultra glam!

This Julien McDonald silver flower ring is now only £7 reduced from £25 at http://www.hsamuel.co.uk/

And this very glam crystal bow ring is £18.99 from http://www.glitzysecrets.com/

Kate Moss AW08 collection for Topshop

Well i have to say that i wasn't very impressed with Kate's last collection for Topshop... (Sorry Kate! - just in case in see her at London Fashion Week), but i have to say that i am loving the new AW08 collection, in particular this grey heart cardigan £45, also available in Navy and Aubergine.

The collection features some really cute and feminine dresses and a pair of funky leopard print tweed trousers priced at £45, i also love the wet look skinny jeans £45 ... would, very sexy with some killer heels. all this and a bit of faux fur thrown in for good measure!

The collection is in stores from tomorrow but available online at http://www.topshop.com/ from today.

Trend focus - Lace

I had a question from Hannah about how to wear the current lace trend, so i have picked a few items to give you an idea.

This grey lace prom dress is £65 from http://www.freemans.com/, is perfect for a fancy party, wear with black dolly bar shoes and a clutch bag to complete this feminine look.

I love this black lace top £35 also from Freemans, i think it would be great for work, worn with a contrasting coloured pencil skirt like then one in the picture, smart but sexy, the perfect after work drinks outfit!

And these platform shoes £25 from http://www.newlook.co.uk/ are perfect if you'd just like to add a little touch of lace to a plain outfit.

Winter must have!

If your lucky enough to be able to carry off skinny jeans then these skinny khaki trousers £25 from http://www.asos.com are for you!

In this seasons trendiest colour, and let's face it one that will always look great, these are a winter must have.

Wear them with tan heels/shoeboots or brown knee length boots, i would suggest maybe wearing a longer top with it though.

Also available in Navy.

Hightsreet store of the week!

Miss selfridge never fail to impress me and as usual they have some great stuff a the moment!
This tan leather jacket is £100, but it's superb quality and a classic style that will last for years.
I love their vintage range and this pale pink jumper is super cute and only £25.
Add a bit of glamour to your outfit with these glam leopard print shoes priced at £20, would look great with cropped trousers for that effortless 60's style.

3 of the best tights

Well i hate to say it but, it's almost that time of year ladies, where you'll need to start covering up those legs as the weather gets colder, but don't play it safe with the usual boring black opaque's, try something different this year.

There are absolutely loads of funky coloured tights around at the moment which should brighten up your mood a little during the miserable winter months and add a nice dash of colour to a plain black outfit. these are my top picks all from http://www.asos.com

From left to right -

Asos mulberry 'velvet feel' 50 denier opaque tights £4.

Flirt for asos back seam tights £5 (for that sexy 40's style glamour).

Asos Navy 'velvet feel' 50 denier opaque tights £4.

I have just discovered http://www.vintagejo.com/ which is a great little online boutique with super funky jewellery and belts, as well as bags, scarfs etc at super cheap prices.

Both the zebra and leopard print bangles are only £5 and this retro 80's style elastic belt is only £4.50....what a bargain!

And on the subject of vintage, i have also discovered a gorgeous boutique http://www.stopstaringclothing.com/, and if you are a fan of the glamorous 40's/50's clothing, then you will be in your element. they have a great range of dresses that are pure class and will bring out the inner sex kitten in anyone!

Another great website is http://www.hollywoodflame.com/ which also sells the same sort of things.

Working girl

Ok girls, here are a few hot work outfits for you, this dress £65 from http://www.warehouse.co.uk/ is a classic item for your work wardrobe as it will never go out of style, it's also a great transitional item as can also be worn with a long sleeved top underneath in the colder months for a real trendy look. Mix it with bright funky jewellery to liven the look up or team with a wide belt.

The tulip skirt is still a hot style for next season and is great if you want to add some curves to a slim frame or great for hiding a multitude of sins if you are pear shaped, this is £40 and also from http://www.warehouse.co.uk/

I just love this bag £35 from http://www.oasis.com/, it's big enough to store pretty much everything in, and if your anything like me, then size really does matter (I'm talking about bags ladies, try not to get sidetracked!) and it is in one of the seasons key colour trends

Calling all aspiring gym bunnies!

Naketano is a fantastic new sports wear brand for women, but it’s not your usual run of mill boring gym wear, these are the kind of clothes that are going to make you want to jump out of bed and straight into the gym (well not quite, but you see where I’m coming from girls). The entire range is so feminine and flattering that you should feel better for just wearing it. The designers responsible for the range are Nicole Christensen along with two experienced, but youthful designers named Sandra Elspab & Cheryl Barcelona.

The range of bright mixed colours are gorgeous, and the jersey dresses are a definite essential item in any girls wardrobe.

It’s a fairly new brand so is not widely distributed but you can buy online at http://www.naketano.de

This week's hot picks

Now i know that i always bang on about http://www.asos.com but it is with very good reason!!!

I could spend hours trawling the site for goodies, in fact i do just don't tell my boss!

These are my top picks this week.

Far left is a gorgeous seventies print silk dress by Vero Moda £44.99, would look fantastic with brown knee high chunky boots for that super on trend seventies look.

Centre is a lovely, although slightly eighties looking dress £105 and i love this fuchsia silk blouse £35, classy but sexy!

Tantastic!

You may be finding it a little difficult to catch a tan with the summer that we're having ladies, so why wear a tan in the form of your clothes instead!

Tan or in in fact any shade of brown will always look classy and expensive, plus it pretty much suits any skin/hair tone so it's definitely worth having quite a bit of it in your wardrobe.

I adore these shoes £75 from http://www.dune.co.uk

And this tan leather jacket from http://www.laredoute.co.uk is a classic wardrobe staple and is only £43.60 in the sale.

Vintage chic!

I have just discovered this great little online boutique http://www.styledetox.com that stocks vintage and really quirky items, i love these necklace's $16 each (also available in silver).

And if you are a fan of that whole sexy 50's look then you will love this wiggle dress by Rock Steady $69.99, i have fallen in love with it and as well as being a absolute classic it's also in keeping with the whole rockabilly trend of the moment.
